Discoveries!!

Hola :)xx
I'm sorry to say that the surprise still isn't ready because it's not dry yet but it should be tomorrow. In the meantime, I have made two really cool discoveries. Well, they'll be cool to all of my fellow nail art addicts.

If you remember, yesterday I showed you the false nails that I bought, and I said that they looked really natural. Well, I've now found that they really are just like real nails... you can paint them and use nail varnish remover to take it off and you're left with the nail you started with. I personally find it easier -when your not doing nail art - to stick them on and them paint them as if they were your own nails, but if you want to do nail art, I suggest you boogy on down to Gem Fatale's Style Blog and look at her Tuesday Tip.

My second discovery was how to make matt nail varnish, or rather how to make nail varnish look matt. I'll write more about this soon, so your just going to have to wait ;).

Here are the pictures of my painted false nails. I used Model's own pastel pink.

So those are my new discoveries. I will right more about the matt nail varnish soon. I just need to get the 'surprise' up first. (I wouldn't get too excited. It's just a tutorial /tip thing)
See you soon and have a great Wednesday
Bye

My new stuff

Hello there xxIf you remember, yesterday I said I'd explain the fact that I had to empty my wardrobe, but it's not quite ready yet so I'll just give you a clue : The first coat is not dry enough to add another coat. Do with that what you will.
Anyway, carrying on, today I went shopping - on my own :( - and I bought some really nice things.
The first thing I got was 3 Models own nail varnishes - lilac dream, pastel pink and blooboo. Recently I have been saving up for new furniture and I was desperate to buy lilac dream, but now I have enough I went straight to the models own bit in boots and was thrilled to find that you get that shade free when you buy 2 other models own cosmetics. Of course, I simply had to buy the other 2 :).
{lilac dream}

{pastel pink}

{bloobloo}
The colours are a bit lighter than they look, it was just dark when I took the photo and the flash makes it not visible (if that makes sense).

The next thing I bought was a set of false nails in boots and they were reduced to about £4.20. They're really nice and easy to apply and they look really natural.

{They came with little tabs on to make it easier to apply}

I love these because they really are very natural. Well, they are once you take the tabs off.

The last thing I bought is an adorable little book by Cath Kisdton called 'Sew'. It's like a recipe book but with sewing things instead. From bags to cushions, from iPod cases to blankets. It's fantastic. It was only £9 and it also came with like 5 pages of templates and this griddy thing (I'm not really too sure what it is).

{Not a very good picture but I thought I'd put it up for any super readers out there :). It says "Free inside: Cath Kidston needlecase}

So that was all of the stuff that I bought today. I'm sorry I couldn't put up the 'surprise' thing, but hopefully it will be ready tomorrow if not it'll be up Thursday.
See you soon
Bye xx

Nail tutorial!!!

Hello there :)
So this is my first post in ..... a ..... while :-/, and I'm very sorry about that so as you can see, I deleted my old posts so I could have a new start. Hope you forgive me :-3.
Anyway, to kick off my 'new' blog, I'm going to do a nail tutorial.  It's going to be a kind of French design, but not a French manicure.

French Design
1. To start with, apply a base coat, to protect your nails and improve colour depth.
{Collection 2000 Nail care, 2 in 1 base coat and ridge filler, with keratin}

2. Then, paint all of your nail any colour you like. I used a pinky purple.

{From a glee nail varnish box set}
3. Create a black french tip. You can use tape, or do it free hand like I did.
{From the same glee nail varnish box set}

4. With a black nail art pen, Make tiny half circles under the french tip.
{I used the Claire's nail art pen and striper in black}

5. With a black nail art striper, create a stripe going down your nail inbetween every circle.

6. Add a top coat and your done!!

I hope you liked this tutorial :). I'm off to empty out my wardrobe now - I'll explain tomorrow.
Have a great Monday and I'll see you tomorrow xxx
